From sculpture to a stone at a time
Bailey earned her first SCAD degree in sculpture in 2011, then kept finding herself drawn to the smallest work on the bench. That pulled her into a Master of Arts in jewelry and objects, and from there into an internship with the London goldsmith Simon Benney, whose House of Benney holds a Royal Warrant.
What came next was less tidy. She had picked up poker while studying, and after graduating she moved to Canada and played professionally, travelling and saving with a number in mind. When she hit it, she moved to Atlanta and started Ringcrush.
The first years were a garage and an Etsy shop, opened in 2016, with every piece made solo. Today the work happens in a full professional studio with a team of women artisans, most of them fellow SCAD alums, and the pieces are carried by specialty shops from Atlanta to London.

That space is the point. Handmade, ethically sourced, and priced from around $40 to a few hundred dollars, which puts it below most of the handmade designer market while staying a long way from mass production.
