January Birthstone Jewelry

January belongs to garnet, and we cut none of it. Every ring and stud here is built around a rough garnet crystal chosen by hand, so the deep red shifts from stone to stone and no two pieces match. Rose quartz sits alongside it for anyone who wants the birthday month without the dark red.

About January birthstones

Garnet is the traditional January birthstone. Ours arrives as raw crystal rather than faceted gems, which is why the color reads differently in each piece: some stones are near black-red in low light and glow claret when you hold them up, others are lighter and more translucent. A cut garnet is uniform and mirror-flat. A raw one keeps its natural faces, its small internal veils, and its own outline, so the stone looks like something found instead of something manufactured.

Rose quartz is the softer alternative we stock for January, in pale pink pendants, studs and rings. It is a common modern stand-in when deep red is not the wearer's color.

Choosing is mostly about scale and how often you wear it. Rings with a single raw garnet or a small cluster of three sit close to the finger and stack well. Five-stone rings and larger quartz pendants read as the main piece. Stones are set in 24k gold over electroformed copper, on 14k gold-filled (1/20) chain with a 24k dip.

What to expect from your January Birthstone Jewelry

Stones, metals, delivery windows, sizing and daily wear, gathered in one place.

Why is every raw stone different?

Each stone is a genuine raw gemstone, kept in the shape it grew in rather than cut and faceted. Colour, shape and inclusions shift from one crystal to the next, so no two pieces are identical and the one that arrives is a close relative of the photo rather than a copy. Every gemstone we set is conflict-free.

What are these pieces made of?

Gold styles are 14k gold-filled (1/20) finished with a 24k gold dip, warm pink styles use rose gold fill, and any style listing a silver option is made in 925 sterling silver. Gold fill is a thick bonded layer of gold rather than a thin plating, which is why it stands up to daily wear. We use recycled precious metals wherever possible, and every piece is 100% hand crafted in our Atlanta studio by Bailey.

When will my order reach me?

Shipping inside the US is free on every order with no minimum, and each parcel travels with tracking. In-stock pieces ship within 1 business day and land in 3 to 5 days, while made-to-order pieces are handcrafted within 10 to 15 business days before they ship. International orders travel at USPS rates, and any duties are the responsibility of the buyer.

What if I need to send something back?

Unworn pieces can come back to us within 100 days of delivery, with custom and made-to-order work as the two exceptions. Return postage is paid by the buyer unless the mistake was ours. Write to support@ringcrush.com and we will walk through it with you.

How do I land on the right ring size?

Sizes are listed on each ring page, and ready-to-ship rings are made in whole sizes. Every ring page carries a size guide plus a printable paper sizer you can measure with at home. If you sit between two sizes, take the larger of the two.

How do I keep a piece looking its best?

Keep it clear of chlorine, harsh cleansers and household chemicals, and slip it off before you swim. A soft dry cloth is all it takes to buff the metal back up. Store it dry and out of direct sun, and the Ringcrush gift box that comes with every order at no extra charge is a good place for it.
